Main Source (Large Professor, Neek the Exotic, Joe Fatale), the revered rap group who introduced the world to Nas, blessed DC last Thurs with their classic show (at Songbyrd) performing hits, freestyles, in addition to treating our ears to new music as well as playing unreleased joints from the legendary Pete Rock. Word.
And if that wasn’t enough, the show openers included North Carolina’s Raw Wattage, DC’s own J Scienide (peep that Ninja Vuitton and shouts to Kev Brown who performed with J) who was introduced by the iconic Bobbito Garcia. But wait, legendary mixtape DJ DJ Doo Wop was also in attendance, and DJ 2-Tone Jones served as the resident DJ for everyone who performed.
No fakes. No imitations. Just straight classic raw. And shouts to SHAOLens for the snaps.
