CAN I KICK IT? Returns to Freedom Plaza

We’re pleased to announce that we’re back this summer, partnering with the DowntownDC BID to conduct CAN I KICK IT? outdoors for their Summer Flicks series.  This year we’ll back at Freedom Plaza and we’re excited to inform everyone that we’ll be adding more dates this time going from June 5th – July 10th and screening classics such as The Karate Kid, Kung Fu Hustle, and Bloodsport.

This month, Tues. May 22nd at Songbyrd, join us for our next edition of CAN I KICK IT? as we screen the cult martial arts classic Shogun Assassin.  Some might even consider this film to be a hip-hop classic as it was sampled and given prominence by one of the Wu-Tang Clan’s founding member’s GZA for his legendary debut album Liquid Swords.

CAN I KICK IT? / 7.25 / ft Marked for Death

We’re pleased to announce that, after last month’s successful outdoor series at Freedom Plaza, we’re back at Songbyrd Music House & Record Cafe for our next edition of CAN I KICK IT?, Tues July 25th, screening the cult classic Marked for Death starring Steven Seagal, 6 – 10 PM, FREE.

We’re pretty excited about this month’s screening, as we’ll be conducting CAN I KICK IT? downstairs in Songbyrd’s music house, so please take note.

At this month’s event we’re happy to announce that the pop-up shop (also located downstairs) will feature Efua’s baby – a Washington, DC woman owned business offering high quality handmade products including 100% all natual soy & coconut oil candles, body butters and other products.
