This Tues June 19th join SHAOLIN JAZZ and the DowntownDC BID for the third film in our Summer Flicks x CAN I KICK IT? outdoors series, the martial arts/comedy The Golden Child, starring the iconic Eddie Murphy.

We’re pleased to announce that, after last month’s successful outdoor series at Freedom Plaza, we’re back at Songbyrd Music House & Record Cafe for our next edition of CAN I KICK IT?, Tues July 25th, screening the cult classic Marked for Death starring Steven Seagal, 6 – 10 PM, FREE.
We’re pretty excited about this month’s screening, as we’ll be conducting CAN I KICK IT? downstairs in Songbyrd’s music house, so please take note.
At this month’s event we’re happy to announce that the pop-up shop (also located downstairs) will feature Efua’s baby – a Washington, DC woman owned business offering high quality handmade products including 100% all natual soy & coconut oil candles, body butters and other products.

This month at CAN I KICK IT? we’re bringing you a true cult contemporary martial arts classic – “Hard to Kill,” starring one of Hollywood’s most enigmatic stars: Steven Seagal. This month is going to be crazy. Not only are we prepping for our trip to Ethiopia, but we also have a range of SHAOLIN JAZZ college engagements, starting with Siena College. The good people at the Damietta Cross-Cultural Center and SEB Coffeehouse are bringing us out this Thurs as apart of their Hip-Hop Week to conduct CAN I KICK IT?
