Diamond District – “March on Washington”

march

There’s no sophomore slump here folks.  Diamond District pick-up right where they left off (from their debut offering “In the Ruff”) with “March on Washington,” an album that expands on their social commentary, and musical and lyrical range.  As a native Washingtonian I’ve seen DC area rap music go through a variety of stages and its refreshing to see Diamond District, in addition area MCs and producers such as Asheru, Ajene’, Sean Born, and a list of others building on this legacy of DOPE music, not to mention being included in an exclusive class of artists and groups (worldwide) that define what GOOD rap music sounds like.
