The SHAOLIN JAZZ Project – Brochure

Here’s a brief look at the brochure I designed for an educational convention 2-Tone and I will be participating in (our first ever) called ACPA (American College Personnel Association), where we’ll be presenting our SHAOLIN JAZZ College Lectures (parallels between Jazz and Hip-Hop culture lecture and Creative Branding Lecture).  The convention will be taking place in Vegas, Monday March 5th – Wednesday March 6th.  For more pics of the brochure click

This Thurs. 2-Tone and I will be giving the panel discussion version of our SHAOLIN JAZZ talks to the students of Tufts University.  Following the panel discussion Joamil and his team at Laced will be hosting the listening party.

SHAOLIN JAZZ – Video Contest – Winner – Jamal Wells

After a long process DJ 2-Tone  and I have selected a winner for the SHAOLIN JAZZ – Video Contest: up-and-coming videographer Jamal Wells.

Jamal’s (a professional architect) unique vision (a combination of hardcore martial arts and humorous undertones) certainly raised an eyebrow while providing a thoughtful laugh – both of which are very necessary, in the days and times.

Thanks again to Jamal for participating and all of our partner brands: LaCoste, Union, and Scifen.

SHAOLIN JAZZ – DREAM GIRLS for SHAOLIN JAZZ – T-shirts (Part 1)

…is a nod to the 90′s female Hip-Hop head, who is just as knowledgeable, confident, participatory, and literate in Hip-Hop culture as her male counter parts – essentially a male Hip-Hop head’s ‘Dream Girl.’

In Part 1 of the “DREAM GIRLS” Photo Shoot we highlight a day in the life of four friends (during the winter on the East), Hip-Hop enthusiasts, who are producing their next music project, rocking T-shirts, they customized, from the SHAOLIN JAZZ – T-shirt line.

Instead of the women playing the “back” the DREAM GIRLS are in the forefront: hardcore yet tempting, raw yet feminine, strong yet alluring, casual yet striking.
